Operation New life has been set up to provide support for fistula women in the West African country of Niger. We are undertaking a major project to build a hospital to operate on and provide health care for the these women, many of whom are just young girls. Permissions, plans and professionals required for such an undertaking have been secured.
To get the hospital built we need your help to raise.
€ 1 million
Fundraiser by Carberry Choral Society
On Sunday 24th of May Carberry Choral Society hosted a Midsummer Music Concert at the Celtic Ross Hotel in aid of Operation New Life.
It was a wonderful evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all. I was delighted to be invited to speak about the work of Operation New Life at this event and once again thank Carberry Choral Society for their support. The €3000 raised on the night will be going directly towards building this much needed hospital.
Many thanks for all your support.

News Update - March 2009
The new fistula hospital is underway. The President of Niger has generously donated land for the project in Niamey. Contractors have been appointed and the building and work has begun.

This project is a partnership between operation new life and the govenrment of Niger. We have started with the the operating theatre, funded by the president and are about to launch the second phase of the build supported by ONL. In this phase we will complete a post operative clinic and preoperative assessment building critical to the lives of many. We desparately need your help to complete this vital work. Siobhan

- Many thanks to the Cafe Orchestra, who played on the day, this was kindly organised by Liz Allen.
- Many thanks to the Jelly Bean factory, who later donated jelly beans for the swimmers.
Thank You to Holy Child, Killiney
A note of thanks to the pupils of Holy Child School, Killiney, who raised €500 for the charity and put together 60 gift bags which Siobhan took with her to Africa for the post operative women.
