Operation New Life Plans a New Dedicated Fistula Hospital
  • Dedicated facility for pre and post care
  • Attached to main hospital in Naimey
  • 2 operating theatres
  • 52 Beds
  • Medical teaching facility

Ireland has the opportunity to build this hospital, it would be the first hospital of its kind in Sub Sahara Africa We are anticipating a 54-bed complex with 2 operating theaters, and a conference hall for educational meetings and lectures. Dr Sabou Ibrahim, director of national hospital in Niamey, said the new hospital could become a West African fistula hospital

Our main objective is to raise $1 million + to build the Centre.

We need this new centre so that:
  • Niger can develop a sustainable program for the repair of vesico-vaginal fistulas.
  • An adequate environment for post operative care for the fistula women can be guaranteed.
  • Educational and vocational training for fistula-repaired patients is provided.
