INAUGURAL GALA BALL
The Irish Charity, Operation New Life, held its Inaugural Gala Fundraising Ball on Friday 4th April at the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin.
Operation New Life's Founder and Director, Siobhan D'Arcy-Bewick and Fran Whlean, Architect, joined 380 glamorous guests who enjoyed a champagne reception and dinner followed by an auction and dancing into the night.

Actor Stephen Rea gave his support to the Charity's big night and Dr Mary Pat Fitzgerald flew in from Chicago especially for the Ball.
Those who attended included the Charity's Chief Patron, Kathy Kenny, wife of RTE’s Pat Kenny and Melanie Verwoerd, Executive Director of UNICEF. The evening was compered by Marty Whelan.
The food and atmosphere was terrific and both the auction and the raffle received great support. While we don't have the final figures back yet we believe that the ball raised circa
€70,000 (net of all expenses) which is a fantastic boost to our fund raising efforts to build this much needed hospital.
The Charity is embarking on a major project to build a € 1 million hospital in Niger to provide vital operations and medical care to these women and give them back their dignity. All funds raised from the Ball, will help to raise the money required.
We would neither have been able to put on a gala ball on such a scale nor raise so much money without the support and effort from the people involved.
