TRIP TO NIGER
Myself ,Fran Whelan the Architect and his wife Nuala travelled to Niger. This was a successful trip. We had various meetings with relevant officials to work out yhe finer details of the building, location, plans and design. Fran gave a detailed presentation outlining all the details.

Fran and his staff have already put a huge amount of work into the design of the building, all of this work has been done on a voluntary basis.
I met with Anafghat's father who travelled for more than 4 hours from his desert village to meet me. The only possesions he carried with him were the photographs of Anafghat that I had given to her and her school copy books together with her head scarf that I had asked for. I was truly touched, this was a poignent moment filled with sadness. He told me that he keeps these photographs with him always.
